We’re hosting a public storytelling event at Buninyong Church (305 Learmonth st) on the 22nd of November.
We’re doing this because it will be fun, because storytelling is a great way to pass the time and we genuinely believe our community will love and benefit from hearing one another’s stories.
Doors will open at 7, and the night will start at 7:30, refreshments will be available in breaks and music will be provided by Olivia Shalders.
It will be a lovely evening: if you want to tell a story, or ask a question about doing that, get in touch with Carlynne on 0409 285 182 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Telling stories makes us vulnerable, and hearing them reminds us what it means to be human. We hope to see you there.
Pastor Bernie Partenfelder from the Buninyong Baptist Church led the Ecumenical Service at Ballarat South which included a celebration of favourite hymns. Click here to watch Bernie’s sermon.
Mat Harry, UCA’s New and Renewing Communities Catalyst visited our Sebastopol Mission Centre this week. Mat interviewed Lyn King from the Op-Shop and Bronwyn Booth from Mainly Music and filmed various activities to give an example of how a Church with limited numbers can still play an important Christian role in the community.
